Ramble = a relaxed journey on foot for exercise or pleasure (Merriam Webster)

Let’s enjoy the Brussels’ winter!
Join Expat Club on nice Sunday morning walks of about 2 hours through different parts of the city, its parks and surrounding forests or nature. The pace is about 4-5 km/h on average so not too fast but certainly not a stroll either. You can wear normal sports shoes but when it rains it may be better to have proper walking shoes. Please take some water (1 – 1,5 liters + some snacks).

This time we discover a new area called ‘t Moeraske, or little swamp in English, located in the Northern part of the city. From there we’ll walk along the NATO buildings towards Cimétière de Bruxelles.

How to get to the starting point?
We meet at Gare Schaerbeek, right in front of the main entrance. Please arrive by 10h30 at the very latest as we would like to depart on time.

By tram:
• line 92: end station (crosses with metro at Botanique)

By bus:
Several buses stop at or close to the station, including 47, 57, 58, 59 and 69. Please check the routes yourself!

New guides wanted
If you love walking, why not becoming part of our members’ hosting team? Together with a few other expats (4-6) you will ensure that we can put the Brussels Ramble on our calendar regularly or even weekly. This way you don’t have the burden to always be the one who needs to show up, but you can share the walks between a group of people.

Rules of the Brussels Ramble
• Registration with full name and email address is required for everyone.
• If you are registered you are expected to come
• If you are not registered and the Meetup is full, you cannot come.
• If you are registered and you don’t come without cancelling at least 1 hour before the walk, we will not allow you to join for the next event.

Having organised hundreds of events, we know that we have to be strict as many people are not respectful of some basic rules, which leads to many problems and frustrations. So please be considerate and follow these simple rules.
