Ramble = a relaxed journey on foot for exercise or pleasure (Merriam Webster)

Let’s enjoy Brussels!
Join Expat Club on nice Sunday morning walks of about 2 hours through different parts of the city, its parks and surrounding forests or nature. The pace is about 4-5 km/h on average so not too fast but certainly not a stroll either. You can wear normal sports shoes but when it rains it may be better to have proper walking shoes. Please take some water (1 – 1,5 liters + some snacks).

Today’s route
Recently Stephan hosted his first Brussels Ramble in the North of Brussels. Due to the positive reactions he would like to continue his journey to discover the next part of the longer route he has in mind. He will start at the main entrance of the Cimetière de Bruxelles. His intention is to walk towards the airport for some plane and train spotting at the end of the runway. His final destination this time is the Mariadal Brasserie in Zaventem for a nice optional lunch. You can return to Brussels with De Lijn bus.

How to get to the starting point?
We meet at the main entrance of the Cimetière de Bruxelles. You can reach this with bus 63, 66 and 80. Please check the website of the MIVB/STIB yourself. Take ample of time to get there please!!

Rules of the Brussels Ramble
Having organised hundreds of events, we know that we have to be strict as many people are not respectful of some basic rules, which leads to many problems and frustrations. So please be considerate and follow these simple rules:

• Registration with full name and email address is required for everyone.
• If you are registered you are expected to come
• If you are not registered and the Meetup is full, you cannot come.
• If you are registered and you don’t come without cancelling at least 1 hour before the walk, we will not allow you to join for the next event.

New guides wanted
If you love walking, why not becoming part of our members’ hosting team? Together with a few other expats (4-6) you will ensure that we can put the Brussels Ramble on our calendar regularly or even weekly. This way you don’t have the burden to always be the one who needs to show up, but you can share the walks between a group of people. Please contact us at info@expatclub.org.
