Lets meet for a nice cup of coffee, a tea or hot chocolate. With or without something sweet on the side. It’s time for some serious and not so serious chatting. For newcomers in town this is an excellent opportunity to meet some people in a relaxed environment. And for those who visited Expat Club events or trips before it is an excellent way to meet some old and new friends. We’re an open community that welcomes every expat, from young to old. There are no in-crowds, just open-minded people. So we would love to see you at our next weekly coffee morning!
How to register for this event?
Everyone is welcome, but since we experience a technical issue with the RSVP functionality at the moment, you can only register on the following 2 ways.
1. Send an email to info@expatclub.org that you’d like to come (if you forget, just come anyway!)
2. Log in and click on the same button. If you’re not a member yet, you can sign up here: www.expatclub.org/register
L’Atelier en Ville, Rue Haute 64, Brussels (Marolles, close to Sablon)
When?
We start at 10h30 and end at 12h30, but join us anytime in between. Also feel free to come in a bit earlier to read your favourite newspaper, or stay a bit longer for lunch and if the company is good.
How?
Just come in, order a coffee or whatever you want at the counter, write your name on a name tag (it’s nice to know who you are), and join the conversation.
L'Atelier en Ville
Our location for our weekly coffee morning is L’Atelier en Ville, a unique concept store in the middle of the Marolles. It serves the best coffees in town with a wide selection pastries and cakes, as well as a superb range of lunch and brunch options. Also, you will find here surprisingly cool home furniture, clothing and wall art. It’s one of those place that makes Brussels unique and it would like to welcome Expat Club for our socialising coffee meetups.
L'Atelier en Ville
Our Café Samedi get togethers will take place in the middle of the Marolles, at just 3 minutes walking from the roundabout at the bottom of the Sablon, or at just 5 minutes walking from Place Poulaert. You only have to take the elevator at the Justice Palace down to the Marbles, turn right and walk another 2 minutes.
How to find?
Hoogstraat - Rue Haute 64
Come inside and join us!
There is lots of space to stand and sit while sipping your favourite coffee. We normally meet at the higher tables next to the windows.

Our coffee mornings are organised to achieve maximal informality. The only thing we ask you is to put on a name label, grab a coffee and say hello. Your host will do his/her best to welcome and introduce you, but feel free to just jump right in! Our coffee mornings are organised to achieve maximal informality. And if you feel like something completely different, try out their amazing selection of smoothies and juices.
Stay fo lunch
Wouldn't it be nice to extend your stay even a bit longer? So why not stay for lunch and finish that conversation you started. With delicious soups and bagels you are ready for the rest of the afternoon.
Go on, indulge yourself!
Don't be too hard on yourself... It's Saturday, you had a hard week at work. Time for a little treat. Just make sure to come regularly so you can try them all it!
Expats in Brussels guide
Don’t forget to pick up your free copy of the Expats in Brussels guide, the special “Expat Club” edition. It’s the reference work for expats in this town! You can also download a pdf by clicking on the picture, but of course the hard copy is much nicer.
House rules
The Expat Club coffee mornings have been a great success since 2013, and we would love to keep it that way. The fact that we welcome everyone and always have a lovely open atmosphere can only be maintained if we all follow some easy rules.
Registration with email address is required if it is your first time with Expat Club, also for walk-ins.
Wearing a name tag helps to get to know each other. Thanks for writing your name on the special labels that we provide.
Due to past complaints, please be aware that it is not allowed to purposefully join us for the coffee morning with the intent to make sales pitches. We do not want any soliciting for religious, spiritual, financial, self-development, multi-level-marketing, health and other such programs or events. Our gatherings are meant to meet other people and discover new things while in Brussels.
You are not the only one at the table, please try not to dominate discussions and be respectful of other people’s opinions.
