PlaneteChocolat

Brussels is the chocolate capital of the world. Surely your chocolate consumption must have skyrocketed after you arrived here. And by now you probably have also chosen your favourite brand. Which one is it? Neuhaus, Leonidas, Wittamer, or Marcolini? This brown gold is just delicious. But how much do you actually know about chocolate? Where does it come from? What is its history? Who were and are the key players? And of course how is it made? Lets try to get an answer to each of these questions.

During an exclusive 45-minutes presentation at Planète Chocolat you will learn everything about chocolate. To get into the right mood you will first be welcomed with a rich hot chocolate. Consequently we go over its entire history and how it arrived in Belgium. We talk about where cacao beans are produced. How it travelled through various countries before it arrived here. How the beans are carefully selected and further treated before they are ready to be used for the production of chocolate as we know it. And what the differences are between the vast variety of chocolates between some other top chocolate producing countries, such as Switzerland, France, Germany and England. This lecture is highly informative and needless to say that you can ask questions to the chocolate expert. At the same time it is entertaining as you will be able to see how the various types of chocolates are made.
