Would you like to travel the world for free?
Would you like to feel the world is in your hands?

Surely the answer is yes! Who doesn’t like traveling? Visiting new countries, exploring new destinations, meeting many new people, and the food… don’t get us started on the amazing food in all those exotic place. Too bad we have limited time and we’ve got to make a living.

For today’s Expat Talk we would like to invite you for a fantastic and inspiring lecture by Tomislav Perko, a highly demanded speaker from Croatie (including TED talks), who travels the world for free. Watch the below video.

Tomislav Perko is 30 and comes from Zagreb, Croatia. Until 2008, he was a stock broker. Suit, tie, those kind of things. Then the financial crisis came, it took his career, money and easy lifestyle that he was accustomed to. He decided then to make a strange move – he started traveling. It wasn’t a logical move, because he had no family support, and almost no money in his pockets. And he started writing about it. A few years later, he went on his RTW Trip.

Thomas came home after almost three years, and he self published a book “1000 days of Spring”, and officially became a writer. He visited New Zealand, Bali, and recently published his second book – “1000 Days of Summer”. He searched for the meaning of life on the road – visited over 40 countries, hitchhikedover 50,000 kilometres, and all that with $10 a day budget. He still hasn’t found the meaning, but he’s enjoying the search.
