THIS IS AN EXTRA HIKING TRIP TO THE HALLERBOS IN THE MORNING.Â
For a few weeks per year the Hallerbos (Forest of Halle) at some 20km Southwest from Brussels transforms into a truly magical place when its forest floor is covered with a purple carpet of bluebells. You surely recognise the pictures on this page and now it’s your chance to (finally) see it with your own eyes. Expat Club has consulted the forester who said that the last weekend of April is expected to be the top weekend for witnessing this exceptional phenomenon. Therefore we offer a trip on Sunday 24 April from Brussels. Our afternoon trip filled up quickly. Now you can join us in the morning for a 3,5 hour hiking trip in the forest. If you would like to join, please note that we expect that also this extra trip will fill up fast.
It’s just a 45-minute ride to the Hallerbos. However, since it is very difficult to get there without a car, especially during the weekend, Expat Club has arranged a nice bus to take us there.

Upon arrival we will divide up the group in smaller groups to ensure we won’t lose half of our group as we are walking too far apart. You will be given a map of the forest so the groups can find their ways around easily. Since the groups are smaller than in the afternoon and go around without a guide you will be able to cover a lot of ground in the Hallerbos.
Since the roads in the Hallerbos are all closed off and the main access roads are full with parked cars, we are entering at a slightly quieter location and first make a nice walk through the Hallerbos.
