The earlier announced snow fall is unfortunately not going to happen. Weather conditions change very fast in Belgium ūüôĀ

This afternoon/evening Christmas trip¬†leads us to one of Germany’s most beautiful and picturesque towns. With its well-preserved half-timbered houses and its narrow streets,¬†Monschau is the pearl of the Eifel regio. We were¬†several times before, also during¬†Christmas. The entire seems to be completely built for this festive purpose and you’ll know why if you join us.

Monschau is known as the T√ľrmacherstadt, the doormakerscity, although the main industry was cloth-mills. This medieval town¬†has many picturesque corners, whereas the view from above is just spectacular. All buildings¬†are required to keep their slate-clad roofs in optimal condition, which gives Monschau such a beautiful character.

Monschau’s Christmas market is¬†different from all other cities like Cologne and D√ľsseldorf that “dress up” for Christmas. Monschau simply embodies¬†Christmas. The entire town breathes the atmosphere that¬†the end of the year approaching. You will find many lovely small shops, boutiques, restaurants and galleries. And on top of that come dozens of Christmas Markets stalls.

We depart from Place Schuman in the early afternoon by luxury 4* coach with on-board toilet, bar, AC, DVD and flatscreen TVs. All you have to do is to sit back in your reclining seat, relax and enjoy the ride. Along the way  you will be served complimentary drinks and snacks.

Our relatively late departure means you can get some good rest this Sunday morning. Our arrival is in the middle of the afternoon which means that we can immediately experience the Christmas markets in full swing. Also, shortly after it will be getting dark and with the thousands of decorative lights the town will turn into a magical place.
