This afternoon/evening Christmas trip leads us to one of Germany’s most beautiful and picturesque towns. With its well-preserved half-timbered houses and its narrow streets, Monschau is the pearl of the Eifel regio. We were several times before, also during Christmas. The entire seems to be completely built for this festive purpose and you’ll know why if you join us.

Monschau is known as the Türmacherstadt, the doormakerscity, although the main industry was cloth-mills. This medieval town has many picturesque corners, whereas the view from above is just spectacular. All buildings are required to keep their slate-clad roofs in optimal condition, which gives Monschau such a beautiful character.
