Expat Club likes to offer you another great local event. The Millenium Film Festival is taking place from 18 until 27 March in various theatres in Brussels. Expat Club has reserved 20 nice seats in collaboration with the organisation of the festival and would like to invite you for the opening and closing documentary. For the final day nobody knows yet which documentary will be shown as it depends on the votes. Of course we can highly recommend going also to the other documentaries. There are some real jewels!
LIFE IS SACRED
ANDREAS DALSGAARD
103′ Danemark / Denmark 2015
OV (spanish) sub FR, EN
The opening documentary Life is Sacred tells the story of contemporary Colombian politics. The director, over the course of five years, follows the political campaign of the Colombian philosopher and politician Antanas Mockus, along with the leader of his youth team, the idealistic Katherine Miranda. Together with an army of young people who are all striving for change, Mockus uses pencils and balloons, flashmobs and mimes to fundamentally change a society that is destroyed by corruption and violence. An incredible tale, which would be hard to believe already if it were fiction.
As shown above, the film is subtitle in French and English. Beforehand we will meet from 19h30 at Natural Caffè at Rue Mont des Arts 21, just around the corner of Bozar. Afterwards the Millenium festival has arranged a reserved table for us to enjoy the reception. Hurry, because we have only 20 spots!
