The official price for a Red Cross first aid course (evening or weekend) is €122 per person. Expat Club offers it for €95 and just €80 if you book it before 11 October. We offer a discount to students, unemployed and those on welfare (send us an email at info@expatclub.org).
Expat Club wants to be an international community that contributes positively to the lives of expats in Brussels and to the wider Brussels community. We often organise events that you would probably not do on your own, not in the least place because you may not speak Flemish or French. This event is one of them!
Imagine if something happened to a member of your family or a colleague: would you know what to do? What should you do when a child, your spouse or a friend becomes badly wounded. Can you take care of it yourself? And would you know when to call a doctor, visit a hospital or call an ambulance? During this 3-hours course you will learn what you can do yourself, and when you should get professional help.
We believe it is very important for people to be able to help one another.  As such Expat Club will host official Red Cross training sessions to teach our members the skills they need to be able to help others if necessary.  With the Belgian Red Cross-Flanders, you are guaranteed expertise and experience. During this first session you will learn the basics of first-aid. Follow-up sessions are planned as well, including a resuscitation training. Upon successful completion of the examination, a statutory certificate of competence will be issued.
About the Red Cross Flanders
“We are an independent volunteer organisation. Under the umbrella of the Belgian Red Cross, we are part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Our mission is threefold: to defend the interests of vulnerable people both at home and abroad, to be proactive in emergency-management, promoting self-reliance and organising blood supply, and to care for vulnerable individuals. In all our activities, we rely heavily on volunteers.” (source: Red Cross Flanders website)
