PARKS & GARDENS

One of the greatest pleasures in life is to enjoy some relaxing moments of rest and leisure in your garden or in a city park. Throughout the ages people have made the most beautiful creations, and luckily many of them are open to the public. At Expat Club we love visiting them during one of our many trips in Belgium, surrounding countries or even further away.

VERSAILLES CASTLE GARDEN (FRANCE)
The most beautiful and elaborate gardens could historically be found near castles and palaces. Expat Club travels to many castles in France, Germany and Austria.

KEUKENHOF FLOWER GARDENS (HOLLAND)
The first Expat Club trip was to the world-famous Keukenhof flower gardens in Holland. With over 7 millions of bulbs planted in the fall, from mid March these gardens are bursting with colors, and from mid April the famous flower fields are in bloom. We organize several trips every year.

MAJORELLE GARDENS, MARRAKECH (MOROCCO)
The Majorelle botanical Garden in Marrakech was created by the French Orientalist artist Jacques Majorelle. Filled with countless cactuses, this is a must-see destination while visiting the Moroccan city.

GARDENS OF CLAUDE MONET, GIVERNY (FRANCE)
A garden so beautiful that the world’s most beloved paintings were painted there by one of the greatest artists of all time, Claude Monet’s gardens in Giverny.

WALMER CASTLE, WALMER (UNITED KINGDOM)
English gardens are some of the finest examples of ultimate gardening. Expat Club could organise a week-long tour by only visiting these wonderful places. During our White Cliffs of Dover trip we visit Walmer Castle, with its astonishing trimmed hedges. And during another summer trip we go to the villas of Winston Churchill and Charles Darwin.

JAPANESE GARDENS, DÜSSELDORF (GERMANY)
Düsseldorf is home to one of Europe’s largest Japanese diaspora, which is reason to organise an amazing Japan Day every year in May. The entire city turns Tokyo, including an awesome fireworks at night. To start our trip we visit the EKO Haus, a combination of Japanese cultural center with exceptional gardens and a temple.

JARDIN DE LUXEMBOURG, PARIS (FRANCE)
Paris is always a good idea. And when in Paris, it’s always a great idea to walk through one of the many parks. During our Paris trips we often go for a stroll through the famous Jardin du Luxembourg after visiting the Pantheon area in the Quartier Latin.
