Opal Coast

You can join us for lunch (not included) in one of the restaurants in Calais, right at the beach, right next to the harbour, and right next to the pier leading to the lighthouse. From here you can make a nice beach walk or “sittin’ on the dock of the bay, watching the tides roll away” (and the ferries sail to England). If you prefer to go hiking, please note that you cannot join us for lunch but that there will be normally many who join for the hiking trip too. After arrival in Calais you will namely immediately continue with our bus to Cap Blanc Nez, from where you will have to walk on your own to Cap Griz Nez. It is advised to bring some lunch, and there is a possibility to rest a bit in Wissant, a nice coastal town about halfway the trip.
